Don't know, but I dig the Nitzer Ebb quote. Saw them when I was stationed in Berlin. Two weeks later I saw FRONT 242. The Germans loved them some industrial back in the day.
mine is very much like my personality - overly polite, faking interest whilst making all the appropriate noises and body language, conveying the image of little miss perfect (i can be whatever you need me to be) and the entire time i'm screaming on the inside 'get the **** away from me you nutcase!' (meant in the nicest way possible of course!)
My avatar is from an old Playstation ad from before there were Playstations 2 or 3. The ad featured a peom called Double Life and various people in various places saying the lines in turn. The kid that is my avatar was given the line "... and conquered worlds ..." and they said it in such a cool way that I never really forgot it. So, what does it say about me? Perhaps that the idea of small children taking over the world isn't that unappealing to me? Or maybe that I cling to the purity of Playstations past?
mine shows that I like the simple things in life. a book, a vehicle to get out and about in. forget the fast lane laid back in the bush or on a lake and I am happy. add children and I am ecstatic.
I change my avatar at least once a week. I am a classic Gemini. However, my avatars are always a picture of myself that I have done some photomanipulation to make it interesting.
What does yours say about you? ...wishful thinking!... What does it say about a person who uses an actual image of themselves ...narcissistic?... and is the need to constantly change your pic a reflection of anything deeper? ...probably...
Mine says, "I like coffee. Care for a cup?" All of my past avatars include a cup of coffee (as seen in my photo album). I loooove variety and feel blah if I don't change it atleast once a month. It's also a creative outlet. I like making avatars for other people just as much.
This is my first Avatar here! As time goes by you may or may not(depending on whether you pay attention to me)see my avatar change as I get bored. My current Avatar is a reference to the novel I plan to write.
Mine says I like colour and abstraction, I suppose. Which is true; abstract and minimalism are two of the best genres of art.
Since all my avatars are of myself...and I change at least once a week...I have a ton of self-portraits...does that make me vain?
No. Anyone who says so is covering up for something themselves. Kind of like homophobia, but with vanity instead of sexuality.
My avatar is my favorite picture of myself. I feel it shows that I am soft, honest, and a generally cheerful person.
Mine is just a picture someone used to represent the character Jason Schuyler from Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series. As for what it represents about myself, all I can say to that is that I like the character, and I think this representation of him is very very VERY cute/hot.
mine is an image I found on a google search. I chose to use this image because it is how I feel I am half the time, plus, it shows that I'm not a talkative person and how I would rather sit back and not be heard because I don't feel that there is really any need for what I have to say to be heard. Most of mankind is ignorant to truth and opinion unless it is exactly what they want to hear, so when you don't have anything to say that people want to hear... you tape your mouth shut and play dumb!
Um, that I like black guys who smoke? It's Son House, a blues musician, who I do like but I mostly chose it because it looks pretty damn cool.
I just looked up that advert now on youtube. It's a really good advert, and that kids face in your avatar always kinda scared me, haha. I always wondered who it was. That kids accent sounds scottish, and kids always sound so funny with scottish accents. Adorable, though:redface:
The first time I saw the ad this kid freaked me out. I was stunned by the words of the poem but the decision to give this small child the 'conquered worlds' line was utter brilliance.
