I think of Cain of Cain and Abel. He was the father of the vampires you know. Then again I was just playing Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines so I might be a little biased there... Cain is one of those names you just don't give a character UNLESS you are trying to foreshadow something. It's like naming a character Hercules or Xena or Jesus. There's too much baggage. Use something else.
Valkyrie Cain from Skullduggery Pleasant. Also I'm pretty sure there's a town in France by a similar name.
