Scrapping the traditional "plot"

    The setting itself dredges up so many horrors that happen in 3rd world countries, that the possibilities are wide open. A nasty story can be a page turner if it is told well. Perhaps this is an opportunity to build two characters: the one in the story and yours;)

    Granted, I'm yet to come across a story I've enjoyed that has completely lacked hope (I hear The Road is pretty hopeless!), so I might try to keep that in the story if I were you, but all in all, do as you please and post an excerpt to the workshop... except I think you have done just that and I, too, critted it...

    I always follow either having a story arc or a low-high-middle outcome...
