It doesn't seem very priest-like to be going around accepting mercenary positions. I'd think the gods would prefer them doing something more productive, like healing the sick, feeding the needy, or killing demons directly. Would it be possible to have my character meet everyone else in a demon battle or something? If not, I suppose I can think up a situation which would lead him to the tavern...
