- It was The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway for a while, but the bloom is off that rose. After that it was The Burn by Vasily Aksyonov for a while. Then Ninety-two in the Shade by Thomas McGuane. Now I think it's better not to have one. I admire Heart of Darkness by Conrad.

I grew up in rural/suburban Gainesville, Florida. I moved to Miami, Florida in 1978 and got kicked out of High School in '79. I enrolled in college (University of Florida) and failed out in '82 with Creative Writing as the intended degree.
Worked odd jobs until I met my wife and we started having babies. I worked as a car salesman after that for two+ years, and then got hired as an Air Traffic Controller, which I did from 1988 to 2017. I retired and got my BS in Psychology.
VERY supportive wife and family. Lovely life. Trying to re-start my writing.
