I'm not good with the terms. Are these adverbs? What are they? I'm on a writing spree, I'm too baked to remember and scrolling through google search pages will kill my high. So I would like some human assistance. Sorry if this is a shit question, you know, I never paid attention in English class. Feel free to flame if this inquiry upsets you. Otherwise cheers.
you could have gotten the answer on your own in a split-second, if you'd simply googled one of them...
I'm a poet and I didn't know it! I'm either gonna wake up tomorrow and think my writing's gold or cringe. Fun experiment though.
I often forget these sort of things as well, and in fact I need to brush up in this area. Yet more things to do...
sanco... 'twasn't a dig!... it's called being 'helpful'... ever heard the old saw that goes, 'give a man a fish...'??? with snide comments like that, you're the only one slinging digs, mate...
Now now kids, settle down. When you come down off your high, Sanco, Grammar Girl has a nice synopsis on adverbs and words ending in -ly. It may help you remember next time if you invest 5 minutes reinforcing your knowledge base, because your question is bound to come up again.
Haha thanks for the help guys. And mamma, I know you weren't having a dig! I wasn't being snide, I was being jovial haha.
didn't come across as joviality with that tongue-out emoticon, sorry to say... 'nuff said... love and hugs, maia
You can be the prettiest. I am obviously the humblest. (just noticed that I highlighted the adverb. I'm on topic even when I'm off - amazing)
I'm not sure how this topic changed to emoticons but the way I see them is they simply replace, in a very small way, what is lost when I cannot see one's face or hear one's tone as I read another's post. I'm confident that I am in no way literacy-challenged.
