You can tell if someone's responded to your thread by checking it for responses, but you can also subscribe to a thread. By subscribing to a thread you can get notifications when you receive responses, either through your userCP or through email (either instantly, daily, or weekly). To subscribe to a thread, click on thread tools in the top of your original post and select subscribe to this thread.
