Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by LordKyleOfEarth, Feb 28, 2009.

Ok in this thread we post amazing skills or abilities that we each posess.

    lol :D

I have a patent for predicting things. It's really weird. For example, Obama recently said we'll pull out of Iraq in August 2010. I freaking called it. I called it like, half a decade ago when the whole thing started XD. I said we'd be out by 2010 or 2011 if all went to plan.

Also, I like my dad, seem to be good a guessing christmas gifts. I always seem to be able to figure out how the movies/book/episode going to end. A recent event in the newest chapter of the Naruto manga that came out this week? I literally called for point nearly event for event years ago half way through Part I.

I'm not psychic or anything it's just really weird when I make a guess sometimes years in advanced and end up being partially or exactly right. Granted I think I'm wrong as many times as I'm right (come on. Otherwise life would be boring) but I still find it strange I'm right as often as I am. It's a shame I can't apply it to anything practical and believe me I've tried XD. Thus far my power of intuition has proven mostly worthless outside of the realm of television, movies, comics, and novels... and christmas/birthday gifts.

    Funny, I'm like that also!
Even small stuff, like if a movie pops into my head it /always/ comes on TV.
Always. Never fails. Or whenever I have a bad feeling or think something bad is going to happen in a certain situation it always does. Such as this past weekend. e_e

I've never attempted to guess a Christmas present before though. :p
Maybe because I always get money LOL.

    And ummm.
    Let's see.
I can adjust my eyes to see almost perfectly even though I have horrible eyesight?
    Harhar.

I can lick my eyebrow. LOL, not really.

:( I'm just good at all the arts. No super powers here (though my husband suggested I possessed "mind control"--He was joking.)

I have such an ironic, useless talent... considering how much I hate, hate, hate feet.

The second toe on both of my feet is double-jointed - meaning, I can stand perfectly still and tap without appearing to be moving at all. I haven't found anything it's good for expect for driving surrounding people crazy wondering where the heck all the annoying tapping is coming from. As I understand it, I could have made a killing being a fake spirit medium several decades ago.

    Lucky. :(
    I want double-jointed toes. ;)

I thought of another one. I can belch on command.
Which I happen to know is incredibly attractive and lady-like.

You're not allowed to be conscious the first time.
I get really bad stage fright.

    :p

    So anyway.
I'd rather not get paddled for straying off topic lol.

    Speaking of.
I have a 'talent' for somehow making the majority of what I say sound unintentionally dirty.
    Or intentionally.

I have a talent for hearing something dirty in everything people say. For example, when my stepfather told me a joke about a 'conquering king'... I thought he said... well, can't you guess? I'm sure Solaris can:p.

And I can juggle blind behind my back.

I have that ability as well.
I should probably clean out the gutter that is apparently my mind.

I still haven't motivated myself enough to learn the art of cartwheeling, let alone juggling anything in multiple numbers. In front of OR behind my back.

Not really a talent, but I can click my tongue really fast. No matter how much I try to explain it to people, I never can. Nor can I explain how to do it.

I can tie a bowline with one hand, behind my back. Yes, that's the one tying the bowline.
I guess every yacht skipper can do it as well. ;)

I can translate in three languages at the same time. Spanish <--> Russian <--> English, and all points in between.
I've only ever had to do it twice, and I was quite flushed at the end, but I did just fine.
