Hey! So glad you could make it to my party! I bet the traffic was a nightmare! Please make yourself at home. What are you drinking? Help yourself to food and there's cake over there too! Great to see you!!
As long as your young at heart. Wait to yuor 30 and you'll be like pfft 23 was nothing, then at 40 etc and here you go By speedyjjj at 2008-11-04
Woo! Pressies!!! Thank you muchness Speedy!! [Gasps as she rips off paper!] Oh, they're lovely!! How did you know?! * [mwah!}
<wink> well to be honest, i didnt know what you wanted. So i went on an adventure and brought some magical faerie paper. The paper creates items of desire (from the opener) when opened. Thus you got what you wanted What do you have planned for your birthday?
That is incredibly clever, Speedy!! Going to spread the old birthday out a bit. Got a fireworks display this eve (apparently, as it's a local one, my friends sponsored a firework so there's one specially for me! woohoo) and tomorrow. Then waiting for the weekend to hit the tiles (weather permitting). Lots of sparklers and hot dogs - I'll be very happy and well fed young/old lady!!
wow, your own fireworks! By speedyjjj at 2008-11-04 Going off! My step-daughters birthday in 2 weeks..... <shakes fists to heavens> WWWHHYYYYYY! sorry about that!
Wow those look amazing! I doubt mine will be so spectacular probably something more like this... Hope your step daughter has a great time (two weeks from now fireworks'll be cheap! That could bode well for firework fun )
Yeah they should be, but because I live in Sussex, most firework displays are arrange so as not to clash with the almighty Lewes fireworks. Some are organised as far forward as the 6th Sept!! I went to some on the 19th Oct which were awesome, but I always wait til the old b'day to throw open the bonfire night gates!!
Maaaiibee We were planning to, but then there's always the threat of being hit in the face by something either on fire or about to explode. We'll see how things go, there are lots of local ones and I usually make Brockham my bonfire celebration of choice. Been going for years but these days the festivities are PACKED... we'll see.
Well it's my first time, and also my flatmates have never seen any bonfire night celebrations, so I'll be there Have to sort out train tickets, since they're closing off all the roads into Lewes.
NEVER seen any bonfire night celelbrations?!?!? That's crazy! If you get a chance better to get in really early. Do you know which society you'll be in the vacinity of? November is so the best month!
i wish they still did bonfire nights out here (it was one of those things as a kid i couldnt get enough off), then one day they stopped doing them. :/ Lucky son-of-a-
That seems really random, that they just stopped all of a sudden. Get enough friends together you could put on a wicked show!! Go, on, you know you want to!!
They banned fireworks (well you can get them illegally and stuff), and bonefires, not allowed to go get them started anymore Australia knows hot to blow, trust me
They banned fireworks?!?!?!!? You're kidding... how can they ban fireworks? I mean, they don't have to celebrate bonfire night if there's a cultural clash but banning fireworks all together? That seems crazy. What about parties and weddings and new years?!?! And: Thanks Acglaphotis! Glad you stopped by!!
