@GingerCoffee Is everyone on the show really bad? I'm no music expert, but she sounds pretty poor to me. It sounds like she is off key several times, and her voice is pretty wavery at start. To be fair, she gets better toward the end. And starting at 2:34 it gets weak again.... Or am I missing something?
You're missing something, @123456789. Perhaps your computer sound system? But going by some of the raved about videos in the Music thread, I guess we all just have different tastes.
My sound system is unfortunately currently impaired, but I don't think it's that. And it's not a matter of taste. I find her ability lacking. It doesn't sound like she can catch all the notes she's trying to catch, and her voice in the beginning is weak. She fails at her attempt to croon toward the end of the song.
Pharrell called it a "breakout moment" for her and it wasn't something he has said often. I don't know what you are hearing but the crowd went very wild and she has moved on to the next week. I absolutely loved it.
