I am a little confused about comma placement when quoting

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Gerardo Valtazar, Apr 22, 2014.

as revealed when Jeremy asks him the following question, “Um, when you stop wantin it?”(P. 60). to which Raglan replies, “When you decide there’s somethin else you want more.”

My question is, would a comma go before these quotes?

    Yes, in both instances.

When you place an introductory tag in front of a line of dialogue, put a comma after the tag and before the opening quote mark. - Writers' Devils,

Thanks I was just making sure, because I tend to second guess myself so the feedback helps.
