I saw a post the other day that said something like, "I just love messing with my characters like that!" I have tried without luck to find this post again so I could thank that person. This simple statement helped me work my way through what might have otherwise been a pretty boring part of my story. It has also given me a new perspective as I write. It seems that "messing with" the characters is a really easy way for me to remember how to create conflict and keep the reader interested. I never really thought of it in such basic terms. I tend to overanalyze things! Thank you!
