I have an Islamic city and a little boy dies and they want to bury him. The city however is starving, very poor, and with practically no resources (so forget tombstones and things like that) I want to know if there are any rites involved with burial, and what Koranic verses would go on a tombstone. My Muslim friend told me Muslims don't bury people in coffins too. Any general info about Muslim burials and how they differ from Christian ones would be helpful, thanks
From the ones I've seen in Afghanistan the body is wrapped in cloth and carried by a very large progression to the burial site. The body is also buried facing toward Mecca. Typically the grave is marked with a flag and some stacked stones. The people here are also largely poor and starving. As for what's said at the funeral, I have no idea.
