For All You Geometry Experts: The Dome

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by lostinwebspace, Nov 17, 2011.

Quick question: what's the top of a dome called? Apex? Summit?...Top?

Although not a geometry expert, I am an expert at Geometry Wars. That doesn't help, but I also know how to Google.

In the articles I read, the writers refer to it as the top of the dome.

    Top. My final answer.

    It's the 'pole'.
Would be a queer sort who took issue with 'top' though.

I like Zenith. That's my final answer, Regis.

The consensus is top, so I'll go with that. Just wondered if there was a special word. Thanks, everyone.
