I don't know what else to call it. She can change aliens to look like humans. Is there a name for that? Has it been done before? If so, what books should I read?
Is it a permanent change, or just a disguise of sorts? If not permanent, what about Masking? If permanent, Morphing? bazzie
I have to agree with WoodenPaw. Mutagenic sounds awesome, but relies on it being an actual physical, genetic change. We need more information though, I guess.
Hmm..it means she is not converting Aliens to Humans, it just the look she is changing, so the biology is not changing. MutaGenic tilt towards biology so morphing is correct word but Morphing as a ability name does not sound cool. Try using Morphing word in other languages....they might sound cool.
Yeah, it's temporary. Like the Mangalores do in the Fifth Element when one of them poses as Corbin Dallas. No time to do any real examination. If they look human, they'll pass. Not looking for genetic changes.
You could steal a note from Inception and make the name a little more cryptic. The guy who could change his appearance was 'The Forger', so any word that means deception in any language could be co-opted. Try various connotations in a thesaurus.
I was going to say, I used to read a kid's sci-fi series called Animorphs where the kids could change into animals. But that was first acquiring their DNA from touch and then physically morphing to be said animal.
Yes, If I remember it was in spiderman animated series where spiderman was using Mutagenic to cure himself or trying to cure Venom Host or trying to cure Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard there various genetic mutation issues.
Oh my god, I used to love that series. I bought almost all of the books, I was that obsessed with it. That's probably the closest thing to the OP's problem I can think of too
