Hello there. I'm looking for someone to beta read a short story that has been sitting in my computer for a good bit. I've taken a break from my writing endeavors these past few years to focus on other things going on in my life but I'm really wanting to get back into it and improve my writing in every way. In turn, I'd be open to reviewing and beta reading one of your stories that is close to the same length as mine. Now, I'm no professional so when I take my notes on someone else's work, I can only give critique based on what I personally think about it. Thank you all for your time! Dole,
One of the best ways of improving is to read other people's works to see how they do it, and what they did wrong and right. So rather than just being transactional with critiques, I'd recommend you to give out critiques to help both them and yourself to improve.
Great advice. I haven’t really had the time to read or write lately but I’m aiming to go head first into it now.
I'll do you a deal. If you read and critique a recent story in the workshop - doesn't have to be mine, it can be anyone's, I'll read and critique yours. I can't promise to get to it straight away, but if you do it before the weekend, I can get it done by Monday.
Actually, it’s not letting me post it here. I have a Chromebook so copy/pasting is difficult. I’ll be critiquing here on the forum but I’d have to send my story in an email to be critiqued.
Doesn't CTRL+C CTRL+V work on a Chromebook? It appears to: https://www.lenovo.com/ae/en/faqs/chromebook/how-to-copy-and-paste-on-a-chromebook/
