So you see, I'm having a wide variety of problems which cause obstacles to get in the way of my writing. For example, I'm always getting into the blue and red parts of the zones of emotional regulation, my hand always hurts when I'm writing on paper, and when it comes to writing stories about Orko from the 2002 He Man series and my original character Furaha the lioness cub, I have trouble deciding between microfiction, full stories, dabbles, daydreams, streams of consciousness and more. I desperately need help...AND FAST!
I must preface my advice is different than the norm on this site. I am a bit more straight forward. Why is that a bad thing? Try typing. Or you look for some word to text software. I don't think anyone can decide this for you. Do the one you want? When in doubt I think a writer should write a full story, especially if you're new to writing. Everything else seems like writing exercises. something you do in a writing class or for a contest to improve your writing, but full stories should be your bread and butter, so if you're truly debating on these, write a full story. But that's a bias suggestion, you may want to do a different style of story telling, I think you should write a full story But if you don't want writing a Haiku is fine if it makes you smile. It's your story is do what you want.
Well, let me ask you a few questions: 1. What kind of story are you going for? Family? Hurt and Comfort? Humor? Angst? Like what are you trying to do? 2. What do you enjoy writing in terms of type of fiction? I have some one-shots and then full fics. How long do you think this story will be? 3. Have you figured out the plot? As for your hand hurting, I get it. My hand gets tired. I agree with the other reply- typing a good idea. Let the keyboard become your new best friend.
Thanks, I needed the advice about the keyboard. Also, I've been wanting to do some family stories about Furaha the lioness cub and Orko (from the 2002 He Man series). I'm going for just that, plus, I enjoy writing crossover stories that are in the form of microfiction. It depends on how long my stories are, plus, I need to figure out the plot. But I can't do it without your help.
You're welcome. Also, you didn't answer any of my questions above. I think you can figure out the plot on your own. You don't need my help. That's part of being a writer. People around here including myself are happy to give advice, but we won't write your story for you.
