What do you mean by 'fade in'? Do you mean you want to slowly let the reader know these facts throughout the first paragraph?
Maybe a mention of something several years back and the year it occurred. School usually starts in September. Anything conspicuous about the location should define where it is, but the readers probably won't make the connection if they don't live close-by.
Every time I read your question I cant get the thought of film, television and music fades out of my head. So needless to say I am still struggling with your question. But this is probably(?) my fault. What do you mean by "fade" specifically? Are you sure "fade" is the correct word for what you are trying to do? You need to be more descriptive with this if you want us to help.
Fade is mostly used about something that is disappearing slowly. What is the antonym for fade in that definition, if there is one?
Off the top of my head: - Brighten - Sharpen - Strengthen - Color And yes, Allan Paas brings up the point I should have specified when I asked if "fade" was the correct word for what you are trying to do. Since fade means to disappear/lose color.

Wait a minute, what program are you asking about? And are you literally asking about an animated fade?
Assuming you mean in a screenplay. After your scene heading, as you are describing the scene, type SUPERIMPOSE: "Your words here". Example: INT. NEON GRAVEYARD - NIGHT COL. MUSTARD kneels in front of Berlioz's grave. MS. SCARLET plays maracas two graves over. SUPERIMPOSE: "Paris, December 1, 2056". She stops. etc...
