Hello everyone. I've been writing for fun for a few years now. It's not something I'm very serious about, but I like to do it occasionally in my down time. I've used inheritanceforums.com as the place to put all my writing since about 2008, and the people there have helped me grow as a writer enormously. However, I can't even get on the website any more, as Google Chrome cannot find the page and can only access a cached copy. This is kind of a problem, as I am not sure if I will be able to access a lot of things I've written on there. If anyone who reads this is familiar with that website and knows what happened, it would be great if you could tell me. As might be obvious from my username, avatar, and profile picture, I am a fan of aircraft, especially military ones. If you have any questions about any aircraft, ask me. I'm also a gun / general military afficionado, and have shot my fair share of pistols. Of the guns that I have actually fired, I prefer any type of 9mm Glock. I can't really shoot a 1911 very well, and when I tried to shoot an S&W Model 500, my hands hurt for several days. Granted, you can actually injure yourself if you shoot that thing with an improper grip, so I didn't come off too badly. I do not know how to shoot a rifle. Other than that, my life is fairly boring. Nice to meet all of you.
Thanks for the welcome, and happy to be here. Thanks also for the RPG approval. I've managed to fish out most of my old writing, although some of the more obscure pieces are proving troubling. Also it all appears highlighted when I paste it into Word, so I'll have to fix that sooner or later.
Welcome to Writing Forums, 160thSOAR! I hope you find what you're looking for here, whatever your interests in writing. This forum aims to provide the best workshopping resources on the internet, and to that end we have a few rules which you should familiarise yourself with before you get stuck in. The main section of the site is the Writing Workshop, where members can post their writing in order to receive critique of their work. However, before we allow members to post their work, they must have met some basic requirments. Firstly, you must have been a member for fourteen days, and have made twenty posts on the forum overall (please note, posts in Word Games do not count towards this). This is so that members, when they post their work, have familiarised themselves with the forums and contributed to them (as well as hopefully learned something for themselves). Secondly, members must provide two constructive reviews of other people's work for each piece of their own that they wish to post. This is because we believe that the focus of workshopping should be equally upon giving reviews as receiving them, as they allow a writer to practice and improve their editing skills, which they can then apply to their own writing. Beyond the Writing Workshop, you will find that we have extensive forums for discussion of aspects of writing, as well as a community area for general discussion. We also run periodic short story and poetry contests, which are good for challenging yourself and expanding your skills. If you have any questions or problems, then the moderators (myself and Cogito) should be your first port of call. Any technical problems with the site itself should be directed to Daniel, the site administrator and owner. I would recommend you have a look over the rules so that you know what to expect, and what is expected. But aside from that, I hope you enjoy your time here. Banzai
Woah you like your guns I would love to also love to try shotting a few at some point! Preferably any type of G36 xD Love German guns!! Welcome to the forums!
G36?! Good luck getting your hands on one of those! In the USA at least, automatic weapons made after 1986 are illegal. And for the ones before 1986 you have to fill out lots of paperwork. You could try getting your hands on an SL8, which is a semi-auto only version with a nice ergonomic stock, but there's a slight catch. It costs $2000. Unfortunately, H&K weapons are pretty expensive.
Hehe good luck trying to get a hold of any gun in the UK Meh a guy can dream! I would love to have a katana sitting in my room since I love Japanese culture and katanas!!
