An Introduction by a white plant

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Ivy.Mane, Aug 25, 2007.

I'm young but full of dreams
I use my head when i'm bored
    English is my escape
And my imagination is my safty cord

You can already see that I'm no rhymer
But I try my hardest you see
An Australian by country but English my language
And a published writer I hope to be

Well ok so ryming poetry is not my strong point and neither is spelling or grammer. But none the less I rwally love to write and i hope to one day write a novel (which I have already started).

    A fellow literary lover

Hello Ivy Mane, Welcome to the Writing Forums.

If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners.

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room on this site, therefore, is a true workshop, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work. See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information.

Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!

Lol, that poem amused me. And I wouldn't worry about spelling and grammar, you can learn that as you continue writing. Take a look around, and see what you think of the place, and I hope you find it both enjoyable and useful. If you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm always happy to help.
