Hi, To be honest I'm a bit unsure about joining here because I'm not really a writer but due to illness and caring for my mother who died last week I've become very isolated so I'm trying to find people that I can talk to and activities to get involved in and since I have always liked reading joining a forum like this one seemed to be a possibility. I do have a kind of story on the go but it's very much a fan fiction type one that I've just been working on here and there to give me something to do and I know that I've put a lot into it that wouldn't ever go into a proper novel because I've just been exploring my characters and their world by doing things like having them go shopping. We do have fan fiction writers, and a lot of people write more for the fun of it than with the intention to be published. Firstly, though, take a look at the New Member Guide.
