Well, my real name isn't Taru, it's Brit, but online I generally go by Taru. So, hey everyone! I'm only 15, but I've been writing since I was really young. I started with stupid stories about wild horses that I never actually finished. And now, I've moved on to writing about humans, though I'm not all that advanced yet. I roleplay, too, and have been doing do since about 4 years ago. It's really improved my writing skill. So, I joined this place to get help and to improve my writing skills. With summer approaching, I plan to write a lot more. :3

As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum).
