Hello all! A Midwest transplant currently employed as an editor at an East Coast publishing house, I started my journey in storytelling with writing by candlelight and on bus rides to school. The love for stories never faded, and so I spent my school years honing my knowledge in the craft through to a Masters in Creative Writing, dedicating myself not just to writing but to storytelling in its many facets and forms (including learning about the various ins-and-outs of the process from idea to print). While I of course am excited to one day receive feedback on my own work, I look forward to dabbling in all areas of the forums in everything from developmental notes on stories, to authors' questions regarding both traditional and self-publishing. Although I of course don't claim to know it all, I'm an eager little birdbrain looking to help out, learn, and read some amazing stories!~ Some of my interests include nature and romanticism, fiction, fantasy, and romance; I am particularly passionate about myths, legends, folk tales, and fairytales—particularly monomyths—and do feel a certain affinity toward birds that has borne a certain fruit in my current WIP, Skylight Stories Kawena. I'm looking greatly forward to my time here after another writer recommended this space to me during the recent DeviantArt exodus after 12 amazing years on the site. I hope to make even more memories here as a member! Best wishes to all, and happy writing! Mana
