Other than a phoenix and 'Horus' the Egyptian god. I feel that there are more but I'm having a horrid time finding anything. What about you guys?

All the Love C.Lemmings! Greatly helpful and informative. Jeez, everytime I searched I kept finding the legendary birds in 'pokemon' for some reason >.>
There's the strix of Greco-Roman mythology, who were basically giant, blood-drinking owls. And there's the piasa of Native American, specifically Cahokian, myth. It's sort of a bird-dragon, in a way. I'll see if I can find links for you.
Here's the links: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strix_(mythology) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piasa
Bennu and Kreutzet are two more Egyptian ones. Simurgh is pretty well-known compared to others, but that might be helpful. There are at least a few dozen, but what type of mythological background you want might be more helpful for further inquiries.
Okay, no takers for poor old Cindy. What about the Halcyon? The mythical bird of Ancient Greek fame, said to calm the wind and waves at the solstice. You may recognise the mantle from the phrase 'halcyon days'.
Ziz is the Hebrew version of the Roc, the aerial counterpart to Leviathan and Behemoth. The Sumerians had Anzu, which has the head of a lion and breathes fire and water. Something I would advise, though? Be diligent in your research and respectful in your presentation. There's a difference between inclusion and appropriation.
It doesn't really matter. Any and all! In a world where a region is populated by avian people, I need as many references I can get for ideas ya know ;3
I found it easier to use the search term "mythology" - and by adding specific cultural search terms like "Greek," "Norse", Etc. If you're looking for information, try to find creative and specific search terms.
