I'm frankly not sure why you suspended it in the first place. We normally keep the weeklies going, without regard to the major site contests. They are entirely different entities.

It was suspended to ensure maximum interest in Daniel's contest. Too many writing projects often leads to none being completed. Anyway and either way we are back under way with these contests and I look forward to seeing some entries.

To kick start this contest I'm keeping this thread alive - please consider an entry - contest open to all.

Can we get any clarification on the idea of a 'survival scenario?' Or should we just go with it?

If I have time I'll do it. I'm currently marking and doing lots and lots of exams.
I do have a few ideas though. One of them even funny.

    Wow Domoviye.
    You write a funny story.
what will it be "a zombie playing skip with some kids."
or helping them build a new tree house after his buddies ripped the old one down.

Don't get me wrong everyone. He is a good writer just not a writer that gives funny
    a good name.
Zomibies or tragedies are more his forte.

Once his exam marking is done I think I will challenge him to a story in one of the contests.

    mothers can be so cruel.

Officially the deadline for entries is tomorrow people, though we only have one entry (thanks ValianceInEnd). It may be necessary to extend the deadline to at least ensure a two horse race. Your submissions please.

ValianceInEnd - feel free to edit your text freely during this time.

If you could extend it to Friday I'd be grateful. I will be done exams on Thursday and I have a cool story all ready to be written up on Thursday night. I just can't get more than a few minutes away from these bloody exams to actually write.

Yowzer, I had no idea about this. I figured once the winner was announced on the previous contest that a new one would be announced. Guess I better get crackin.

Aw man, I totally had my idea- and then I got tapped for another project that's definitely taking up my time. Sorry, guys.
(Anyway, I'm pretty sure it would have been too long for the competition.)

I'd like to see this extended also. The theme is one which should be popular, so I think either people have had too many other things in their lives, or the contest needs a chance to gather momentum again after its hiatus.

You're right Cogito - we lost momentum in the hiatus so we'll extend for another week and assess then.

Seems you picked up a little of that lost momentum.

It would appear so, wouldn't it?
