    Great America: California

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Leaka, May 19, 2008.

Has anyone been to Great America?
    I went this Saturday.
    It was fun.
I have become a roller coaster junkie.
    I love roller coasters.
My favorite ride was the Vortex.
    What was your favorite ride?
    :)

I assume this is a theme park with lots of rides and long lines?

I've only been to Disney Land (Florida and Paris :D) and Six Flags Atlanta.

    You are right.
the lines weren't long when I got there.
I got there in the morning, but the lines started getting ridiculous long during the afternoon.
But I got to ride at least 9 rides total in a day.
Most of them were roller coasters.

Sounds kinda like Alton Towers. It's best to go to these things in miserable weather, because no one can be arsed to queue in the rain :p

    True very true.
But then I wouldn't have been able to go to the water coasters.
    I liked the water.
And it was a nice day.
It was the best in the morning.

    VERY true.

I'm a semi-native of Central Florida, home of Disney World (a.k.a. The Tragic Kingdom, if you live there.) Going during crappy weather is a well known local device to avoid lines.

I've never been to America and I don't care very much for rollercoasters. Lol. I'm very boring like that :(

I've never been on a log flume but I like the water rapid type ride things... can't remember what they're called. I can't think of any more water rides either.

That is such a British name. :p

Australia's claim to fame lies on the Gold Coast with Movieworld, Seaworld, Dreamworld and WhiteWater World. I still don't know what they were thinking with the dog-humans?
