From what I hear, he's an effective speaker and had a lot to say on both reading and writing. And dearest Mom got me autographed copies of his two novels. I haven't yet finished them, but from what I've read so far, they're decently written. "This Side of Paradise", in particular, has piqued my interest. I'll post a review of them in this thread in a couple of days...
