Trying to publish an ebook at Amazon, but when I do, there is an X where each pic should be. Writing the book in Open Office, importing my pics, but no success. Someone told me that I am saving the document under the wrong file type but I am not really computer savvy. Any help would be appteciated.
We'll need a little more information. What genre does your ebook fall into, and why does it have images?
There's where I have trouble. I have tried saving the document under an option that it gives me, such as .html, or .doc, but none of those result in my pics showing in my book..just the words upload
It's not under File>Save. You need to go to File>Export as PDF, the default options in the resulting dialogue will probably work fine. I don't actually us OpenOffice, I use LibreOffice. Both programs are practically identical, so I assume the instructions are interchangeable in this regard.
