I never thought I'd be so excited about old technology. I just got an AlphaSmart Pro circa 1994 from Ebay. I don't think its ever been used but a few times. I love how you can just type type type and then shut the thing off without even saving it and then it's just there the next time you turn it on. No worries about taking my laptop with me all over, I just take my little AlphaSmart. It only uses 2 double A batteries, and, with the teeny little screen, I'm forced to WRITE not edit. When I'm done, I hook up the cable and watch as it "types" the content to an open document on my mac. Anyone else use an AlphaSmart?
I've actually wanted one for sometime but forgot. You just reminded me and I've found one on Ebay I think I might purchase.
Sounds like a pretty handy and useful writing aide. How much can you pick one up for if you don't mind me asking?
