lol so am I, hope its a good book, I think it was Death or Glory that slaughtered my interest in the series, giving it a bit of a chance this time.
One of my work-mates lends me the 40k novel he is currently reading... I have read the first 3 pages of numberous novels in his ownership to see if I like the writers literery style. If I like it, I ask to lend it, though I find this is happons with 1 in 3 books and he said he will lend me a few of them at the end of the year. I have forgotten the names of some of the said novels however.
Oh yes, that novel is a beauty, im a die-hard fan of Anthony Reynolds, have both DA and Mark of Chaos, gonna get some of his other works. Varnus was so cool as an MC and Jarulek as the main villain. The showdowns are definitely the sweetest pieces of work too.
Much of the better work comes from Dan Abnett his gaunts ghost's series was spot on. And even his take on Space Marines in the book Brothers Of The Snake was really good. Personally I like Ben Counter because I love reading the Soul Drinkers Books based on the soul drinkers Astartes.
My favourite was Duty Calls. I loved the build up. And I'm looking forwards to the last ever book as we see Ciaphas Cain in Ciaphas Cains Last Stand. Cains Last Stand Click for larger image. Sandy Mitchell : Nov 08 (UK) After a long and distinguished career defending the Imperium from its many enemies, Commissar Cain is enjoying a well-deserved retirement on Perlia, teaching in a schola progenium. As the forces of Chaos overwhelm Perlia, can the wily commissar prove himself to be a real hero of the Imperium one last time? The Imperium’s most unlikely hero is back, reluctantly returning to the front line and hoping his luck will hold out!
Hell yes. Its about a Space marine Chapter Successor of the Imperial Fists that get lured to Chaos then realise whats happened and try to right their wrongs. The best of the four is the latest one Chapter War. The Omnibus contains the first three and they are My faveourite books in the 40k universe So far.
Yep, I've seen both of em at the store. Buyin . So, who's everybody's favorite hero/villain from the entire 40k universe? Lucius The Eternal here
Hero well that would be the rightous Sigismund First Captain to Rogal Dorn later made as Chapter Master High Marshal of the Black Templars. Honourable yet Brutal to the last.
