    Send In The Klaons

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by Bakkerbaard, Dec 21, 2024 at 2:21 PM.

I think this is the right place to ask, unless the answer would break some self promotion rules.

A while back there was someone among us who wrote something which I read a preview of, and I wanna read the rest of it, but I can't remember who wrote it, or what it was called. And I should have asked sooner, because a lot of the details of it are starting to fade as well.

The following is constructed of unstable memory fragments:
It was about interdimensional (?) clowns, but it was spelled "klaon." I think the klaons were the ones being hunted, but it might be the other way around.
The opening scene, or at least the part I read, involved a fight in somebody's house and somebody fell down the stairs.
When the hunter/main character got back to their own dimension, I remember there being a pretty funny offhand remark about body shaming someone over their purple hair, which worked perfectly in the clown-context.
One other thing that really jumped out was the text being ragged-right instead of justified. At the time, at least.

    Sound familiar?

I think you're thinking about Adam Bolander's Henry Rider: Clown Hunter.

    That's it. Thanks.
