I have written a science fiction story based on a vision/dream I had during an open heart surgical procedure. While on the heart/lung bypass machine and under heavy sedation, I entered into the most vivid, life like, first person observer storyline that left me wanting to go back under after being awakened. When the doctors removed the intubation tubing that was inserted down my throat, I was brought to consciousness and had this dream swirling in my mind like I had just walked out of a movie scene. Over the next few days I tried to relate the story to family and friends who, while finding the story fascinating, didn't think I could follow through with a written version. I got a little bit of ghostwriting help using my storyline and input and came up with a book length manuscript which is pending being published. Maybe because of my heart issues combined with my interest in new technology and also current affairs, I came up with a story about an A.I. controlled artificial heart that was implanted into two soldiers, from opposite warring factions, simultaneously. These devices inextricably find a way to connect and become sentient which leads to some interesting developments in a festering war. I called the book "A.I.m Of Intelligence" "Heart Of Peace". I have had several friends and family read what I've done and they loved it, but I would like to throw it out there to some unbiased and unknown (to me) readers to get an assessment (good or bad) if only to get an idea of how I've done. I have a formatted word document I can send to those who are interested.
Sounds intriguing. I would recommend you to post the first chapter or a couple of thousand words of it in the workshop area of this forum if you want. It's over here: https://www.writingforums.org/community/science-fiction.212/ Edit, wait, you did you say ghostwritten? Did you write it? If you did not write it, you can not post it to the workshop, since I think it is only for writing you yourself have done.
