How do you get proofs from Amazon for your book if the manuscript isn’t finalized yet? I have my book set up for preorder and it releases on Nov 7th. I can’t set up the paperback unless I upload the manuscript, but it’s not finalized. Can I upload my manuscript as it is now and get a proof copy? I’m not sure how this works.
It's been a minute since I published something, but I believe once you get the manuscript uploaded, you can request a proof copy. Amazon isn't going to know the difference between your completed work and the unfinished stuff, unless there's some filter they have that can find differences between editions.
As far as I know you don’t get proof copies from Amazon period proof reading should take place on the pdf before you upload it to Amazon
I apologize, I meant to say author copy. I scheduled the release for something and then put it back into draft status once I got an author copy.
