Creating some spelling and reading homework for my sister. She's 5, but it's about time she practiced.
That's being a brother! Of course, now that you're doing this, she's going to lean on you for everything for the rest of your life, right?
Well, I'm just hoping to give her something to look up to. Im here so I may as well be a positive influence, sow some love, and be involved. This way she feels comfortable coming to me (and Cherelle) when the world comes at her in her teen years. I missed a few little milestone already, but maybe we can make up for it before I leave again (gotta about a year hehe).
Wo-hoo! Just got paid $8.50 from the sales of my merchandise on society6 during last month. While I'm always grateful and happy when people dish out top dollar for one of my pictures or designs (it's all quite expensive but the quality is great) I can't help but feel a sense of anticlimax. I mean, from the sale of about 70 iPhone cases, the standard royalties got me a grand total of $200 There really should be an 'Ambivalent Thread' for this...
Thank you, Universe, for having a steatopygianous ass-load of work fall into my lap perfectly timed to pay out just before I go on vacation. Seriously. Thank you!
You should get a t-shirt made that says, "I paid for this vacation by being bi-," then on the back, "lingual."
For decades now, steatopygianinity has been underrated in the assfest world. Expansive buttockularity has been frowned upon as ungymnastic and even unfashionable, as if Olympian buttcheeks were subject to the judgments of mere Hefners and members of the International Society for the Preservation of Ham Standards. It's about time someone embraced the bloatedness of their workloads. Thank you, @Wreybies, for leading us into the bright future of Megaponderositii Rhinogluteii. Come back soon. We'll worry.
Happy to finally be seeing some predominantly good reviews on my writing, both in the work shop and from people I've asked privately. When I first joined, I thought my writing was pretty decent, but I was met with a swift ego-check that proved otherwise. Now, 2 years, some college courses, plenty of reading, online studying, and forum activity later, I'm starting to see some pay off. My writing isn't perfect, nor will I call it great, but I'm so glad to see that I'm getting more comments like "I liked it," "it was great," and "nice work" than "this needs work" and "too much to go into." Progress is what I'm after. I plan to take this victory in stride and continue improving. Patience, diligence, and perseverance, that's what it takes. Because I'm happy, I'll probably take my sister out to the mall or to see a movie. She's been doing well with our little schooling sessions.
I am happy tonight. I tried years ago, but this week I was hit hard with the inspiration to read Shakespeare. Yay, me, for keeping his “Works”. Enjoying
Got a new iPad to replace the old one that had a large crack (and several smaller cracks that spidered outward.) It's so nice not to have those cracks! D Let's see if I'll take care of this one better.
I'm happy because I just FINISHED A MULTI-CHAPTER STORY for the first time since 2008! It might be a fanfiction and it might only be 31,700 words but it's FINISHED and I haven't done that in FOREVER.
Thank you @minstrel! The nail polish is drying, make up stain on the dress has been reasonably successfully removed, we are going out to dinner at 8
Well, I am halfway through a massive economics paper due on Sunday. I plan to be finished by tomorrow morning which will completely open up my weekend. I decided to take a break from writing about economics to join a writing forum. That's great news! From what I've learned the higher wages for him and his colleagues will put more money in his pocket to continue stimulating the economy. If everything goes as planned we should be concerned about inflation within the next five years. Pull out your major loans now if you need them!
Thanks so much Cogito! It was absolutely lovely, and even better, it marked the beginning of a two week holiday
