U.S. Army (The titles of Hollywood "army" movies are always done in a stencil font. Have you noticed?)
Funny you should mention M*A*S*H. Earlier this year, I picked up the M*A*S*H box-set and watched it through. I was impressed at how thoroughly researched it was in regards to the Army, the Korean Conflict, medicine, and the effect of army life on civilians. It also displays the effects of PTSD more-or-less accurately, years and years before anyone called it that. (Back when the show was made in the 70s, I believe the term was "shell shock", "combat fatigue", or "war neurosis" -- as if it was something that happened only to soldiers, not civilians too). I now understand why this show is viewed so highly. ========= M*A*S*H ==> Army surgeons
I have been to the set of MASH, which was still there in the 90s. The set itself is in the hills near Malibu CA.
Wow. They did an incredible job of making the place look deserted, as if it had been blasted by artillery shells. I'd only seen one or two episodes of M*A*S*H before picking up the box-set, but I'm glad I tried watching it. What's your next word? Mine was "Army surgeons".
